Ambassador Chen Li attends Pandas' Arrival Ceremony

On 18th January, Ambassador Chen Li attended Pandas' Arrival Ceremony at Helsinki International Airport and welcomed the panda pair "Hua Bao" and "Jin Baobao" to Finland. H.E. Mr. Jari Leppä, Finnish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. Ma Guangren, Chief Engineer of the State Forestry Administration of China, Mr. Hiski Haukkala, Secretary General of the Office of the President of Finland, as well as representatives and over 60 photographers and journalists were also present.

 

In his speech, Ambassador Chen emphasized the significance of pandas' arrival to the friendship between China and Finland, and expressed his willingness to work together with the other two "Ambassadors" so as to further promote bilateral relations. H.E. Mr. Jari Leppä expressed his warm welcome to the pair of panda and spoke highly of the roles of pandas as a symbol of friendly cooperation and mutual trust.

All the guests invited showed their warmest welcome to the panda pair and expressed good willingness for them to have a good life in Finland.
